Bergen County teeth in a day
When it comes to replacing missing teeth dental implants have revolutionized how replacement teeth are done, however the stumbling block with implants for many patients is the long duration between the start of the procedure and the finished tooth. Our practice can place
Bergen County teeth in a day. Our doctors at Ramapo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery can reduce the timeline necessary for the replacement of teeth down in many cases through pre-preparing the implant and the replacement tooth crown in one preliminary visit before the implant procedure is even started.
The normal procedure for an implant involves first taking radiographs, including 3-D images of the area where the lost tooth is to pinpoint the placement of the implant. The doctor will then open up the gum and surgically implant a titanium anchor into the jawbone and then reclose the gum. Over a time period of 3 - 6 months the anchor bonds with the bone and essentially becomes part of the bone, this provides an exceptionally strong and stable root for the new tooth. In a second phase of the process our doctor will reopen the gum and place a post on the anchor, which will be topped by a crown. The porcelain crown forms the top of the tooth with the biting and chewing surfaces. Bergen County teeth in a day has the ability to combine many of these functions into one phase greatly shortening the whole process.
Our practice can give some implant patients
Bergen County teeth in a day. The procedure works by using our state-of-the-art 3-D scan to not only pinpoint the site of the implant but to precisely plan out the surgical placement and the design of the implant and the fixed bridge so there is no need for the bone to bond with the implant before the bridge can be placed. In essence a workable anchor/crown combination goes in as one piece. Our lab then fabricates the bridge portion of the implant so that it is all ready before the surgical procedure begins. When everything is ready a few days later the patient returns to our office and has a short surgical procedure to place the implant. The teeth in a day procedure is not available for all patients due to the constraints of some individual cases, so to see if we can give you a new smile in just one visit make an appointment with our office.
